YEAR-END APPEAL Help Us Bring Healing and Hope to Ukraine
Dear Friend,
As another harsh winter descends on Ukraine, the people are once again facing the unthinkable — nights without light, homes without warmth, and hearts weighed down by trauma and loss.
And yet, in the midst of the darkness, hope is shining.
This fall, the Hope International Ministries team of psychologists, trauma healing facilitators, and volunteers traveled across war-torn Ukraine — to Kyiv, Odesa, and Kharkiv — bringing comfort and healing to hundreds who are struggling to rebuild their lives. Even as missiles fell and air-raid sirens wailed, more than a thousand women gathered in our conferences to find strength, peace, and a renewed sense of purpose.
“How can we live, how can we think about tomorrow, how can we allow ourselves to have joy in anything with so much pain and tragedy surrounding us?” one woman in Odesa asked.
Her question captures the cry of an entire nation.
That is why, this October, we took a major step forward — the opening of the first Hope Trauma Healing Center in Kharkiv.
This center will serve as a safe place where survivors of war — mothers, children, chaplains, and veterans — can begin to heal emotionally, spiritually, and relationally.
But right now, the center needs your help to become fully functional and welcoming.
To open its doors to those who need it most, we must equip it with:
• New furniture (chairs, sofas, desks, tables)
• A large screen TV and projector for training and counseling sessions
• A coffee machine, rugs, window treatments, and decorations to create a warm, peaceful atmosphere
• Basic office supplies and materials for group and individual therapy
These may seem like simple things — but to someone who has lost everything, they mean dignity, safety, and hope.
Your year-end gift will make this center a place of restoration for hundreds of Ukrainians who are still living under the shadow of war.
• $100 trains a local counselor or chaplain
• $500 helps furnish the new Trauma Healing Center in Kharkiv
• $1,000 equips an entire therapy room for group healing sessions
As Ukraine’s First Lady, Olena Zelenska, recently said, “Practically every second person we meet each day needs help and support, even if they never say it.”
This year-end season, will you join us in bringing that help — and that hope?
Your generosity will bring light to those sitting in darkness, healing to the brokenhearted, and the message that God has not forgotten Ukraine.
