SUMMER YOUTH CAMPS
Dear Ministry Friends,
For five years now, the brutal war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine has continued to bring destruction, suffering, and loss. Every day, innocent lives are taken — husbands, fathers, and sons.
But perhaps the most heartbreaking victims of this war are the children.
Thousands of children will never again see their fathers who were killed in the war. Many have experienced bombings, the loss of their homes, and the trauma of fleeing their country as refugees. Their childhood has been marked by fear, grief, and uncertainty. The wounds they carry at such a young age can affect the rest of their lives.
Yet even in the midst of darkness, there is hope.
In 2026, Hope International Ministries is launching several initiatives to help children and teenagers affected by the war. This summer we are planning to organize six youth camps for Ukrainian refugee children in Finland, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Italy, and Ukraine
These camps are much more than just a summer program.
They are places where children can:
feel safe and cared for
receive emotional and spiritual support
build friendships and community
hear about God’s love and the hope found in Jesus Christ
begin the journey of healing from trauma
Our volunteers — pastors, Christian counselors, and trained leaders — walk alongside these young people, helping them process their pain and discover that God has not abandoned them, and that their future can still be filled with hope.
However, we cannot do this alone.
To make these camps possible and to reach as many children as we can, we need your partnership.
