A YEAR OF EXPANDING IMPACT
Seven months into 2026, Hope International Ministries (HIM) has already exceeded what we believed was an unprecedented year in 2025.
Despite being a relatively small organization, HIM continues to lead initiatives that are national and international in scope. Today, Hope International serves across Ukraine and 12 European countries, working alongside local churches, ministries and community organizations to bring trauma healing, hope and practical care to those affected by war.
None of this would be possible without your prayers, generosity and partnership.
FIVE SUMMER CAMPS ACROSS EUROPE
This summer, HIM partnered with local churches and ministries to host five camps for Ukrainian refugee children and teenagers in Finland, Latvia, Italy and the Czech Republic.
In Finland, we held our first- ever camp for Ukrainian refugee teenagers. What began as an invitation revealed something remarkable: a growing network of Ukrainian churches stretching from the Helsinki region to communities north of the Arctic Circle. These congregations have become vital centers of worship, support and outreach for displaced families.
In Italy, we continued a ministry that has become especially close to our hearts. Nearly 120 Ukrainian children are receiving cancer treatment in hospitals near Milan, Genoa and Rome.
Over the last four years, we have already provided trauma healing programs, summer activities and ongoing support for these
children and their families. This year, refugee children from surrounding communities also joined the camps, one outside Genova and another camp close to Milan, creating moments of joy, friendship and hope in the midst of prolonged hardship.
In the Czech Republic, where one of Europe’s largest Ukrainian refugee communities has settled, more than 50 children and teenagers attended our summer family camp.
Ukrainian churches continue to grow rapidly, with refugees becoming missionaries and church leaders themselves.
HIM now partners with ten Ukrainian churches across the country and welcomes prayer for additional pastors and ministry resources.
TWO TRAUMA HEALING CONFERENCES FOR WOMEN
In June, trauma healing conferences in Prague and Warsaw brought together more than 500 women from Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus, as well as participants from Norway, Luxembourg, Germany, Belgium, Cyprus and other European countries. These gatherings—our 16th and 17th trauma healing conferences since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine—provided a safe place for women to process grief, rebuild resilience and rediscover hope. The testimonies that followed spoke of renewed faith, restored relationships and lives beginning to heal.
TRAUMA HEALING RETREAT FOR PASTORS AND FAMILIES
In July, six volunteers from the United States—including pastors and trauma healing professionals—served at HIM’s annual retreat for 120 pastors and family members from Ukraine’s frontline regions.
For five days, these ministry leaders experienced something many had not known for months: uninterrupted peace. No air raid sirens.
No missile attacks. No explosions. Instead, they found rest, prayer, worship, counseling, fellowship and renewed strength for the work awaiting them back home.
Again and again, we heard stories of God’s faithfulness. Even amid war, churches continue serving their communities, the Gospel continues to be proclaimed, and people continue placing their faith in Jesus Christ.
LOOKING AHEAD
Everything accomplished this year has been made possible through faithful partners who pray, give and serve.
Your support has helped provide healing for traumatized children, encouragement for women carrying the weight of war, and renewal for pastors faithfully serving on Ukraine’s front lines.

To sustain and expand these programs, Hope International Ministries is seeking to raise an additional $35,000 over the next five months.
